body (epidermis, hair system, nails, lips, and external genital organs) or to the teeth and mucous
membranes of the mouth, with the exclusive or main purpose of cleaning, perfuming, changing their
appearance, protecting, maintaining them in good condition, or correcting body odors.

Notification of Food Supplements
As indicated in the food supplements regulation, the person responsible for placing the product on the market must notify the competent authorities of its placing on the European and/or national market. This procedure must be carried out prior to or simultaneously with the first placing on the market.
"Food supplements are foodstuffs consisting of concentrated sources of nutrients and which are presented for the purpose of supplementing the intake of such nutrients in the normal diet."
